大一新生入学

The 英国威廉希尔中文网站 guarantees residential housing for students during their first three years.

Students entering as freshmen (includes transfer freshmen entering UE after one semester at another institution) must reside in either University Housing or University Approved Housing for a minimum of three academic years or the equivalent of six fall/spring semesters.

注:学分从桥, 早期的大学, 双重信用, or advanced placement do not qualify for calculating the number of semesters required.

Entering freshmen (and continuing students that entered as freshmen) may request an exemption if they meet one of the following criteria:

1. Student has attained the age of 22 prior to the start of the semester.
2. Student’s local residence is with a parent or legal guardian and is located within a 35-mile radius.
3. Student is married and/or must live with their dependent.

The Residency Exemption form must be submitted to 居住生活 for review and approval prior to the start of the term.

Students who have not met the residency requirement or who do not have an approved exemption will be billed the equivalent of the Schroeder Hall double-occupancy room rate and assigned and billed for the Aces 12 meal plan.

转学

Students who enter the University as transfer students are required to live on campus or in University Approved Housing until they obtain 90 credit hours. These hours must be obtained prior to the beginning of the student’s entering semester.

四年级学生和研究生

Students who have met the three-year residency requirement or are classified as graduate students are not required to live on campus but are welcome and encouraged to remain in campus housing. This makes for a positive mix of fresh ideas, 同伴指导, and the passing down of community traditions.

In addition to residence halls, the following properties are categorized as on-campus housing:

• 村住房 – Includes University owned apartments, houses, and townhouses.
• Greek Houses – Includes 希腊的村庄 and 大学批准希腊住房.

The residency requirement may be fulfilled by choosing to live in any of these types of housing.

村住房

Villages include all University owned and operated apartments, houses, and townhouses. 这些单位, 位于校园附近, are under the supervision of the associate director of residence life and a staff of resident assistants. These properties are available to upperclassmen with 60 or more credit hours.

The application process for fall housing for returning students occurs during the preceding spring semester. Though Village space is primarily reserved for upperclassmen, it is not guaranteed (there is not adequate space to house all upperclassmen in Villages). Policies regarding Village housing fall under the Office of 居住生活.

希腊的村庄

Students living in these properties have a standard housing contract. 这些国家包括斐济、菲陶岛和TKE岛. They are managed as a part of Village housing. Students will be assigned and billed for the Aces 7 meal plan but are welcome to choose a larger plan. Meal plan adjustments must take place during posted meal plan change periods.

大学批准希腊住房 refers to recognized Greek organizations that own houses and have entered into an agreement to be classified as University Approved Housing. 其中包括SAE、Sig Ep和Lambda Chi. Students will be assigned and billed for the Aces 7 meal plan but are welcome to choose a larger plan. Meal plan adjustments must take place during posted meal plan change periods.
